Starpharma Holdings Ltd is a publicly listed company specialising in the development and commercialisation of nanotechnology. The company is currently capitalised at over $75 million. Starpharma was established in 1996 as a public unlisted company. TSL's Managing Director, Ross Dobinson, was a founding director.

TSL was engaged by Starpharma to assist the Company in restructuring its business in a tax-effective way and to raise capital for its development.

TSL's Role:

• Advised on corporate structure and helped establish Starpharma as a Pooled Development Fund
• Raised over $13 million through two capital raisings
• Facilitated the listing of Starpharma on the Exempt Market through Austock Brokers Pty Ltd
• Assisted with a further capital raising of $22.4 million through an Initial Public Offer at $0.85 per share (following a 1:4 share split)
• Provided strategic business development advice, shareholder liaison and corporate advisory services

Starpharma is currently progressing licensing arrangements in the US through its wholly owned subsidiary - Dendritic Nanotechnologies Ltd (‘DNT’).

In October 2006 Starpharma acquired DNT expanding the company's potential products to include drug delivery and industrial specialty chemical appliances. Many of these applications have near-term cash flow opportunities. In February 2007 Starpharma announced an exclusive license and supply agreement between DNT and EMD Biosciences (part of Merck KGaA) for the Priofect siRNA transfaction reagent.
