Michael Naphtali provides commercial advice on acquisitions, divestitures,
capital raising, refinancing, strategy, succession planning and
dispute resolution. Michael's reputation in the corporate community
is based on his outstanding commercial acumen and his ability to
tailor innovative business solutions to individual corporate needs.
Michael began his commercial career in the corporate finance department
of Hill Samuel Australia Limited, where he became Director of Corporate
Finance. In 1987, he joined the Pratt Group, where he was Managing
Director for 15 years. During this time, Michael was involved in
the group's takeover of ACI, the rationalisation of the paper and
box industry, and the sale of the group's lithographic packaging
division in Australia and a pulp and paper mill in the United States.
In 1993, Michael began a consultancy, Hindal Consulting and Investment
Pty Ltd, and established Hindal Corporate soon thereafter. Michael
has acted as a key advisor and business consultant on strategy,
financing succession, restructuring and tax matters, predominantly
to large private clients.
Michael has an Honours degree in Economics from Monash University
and an MBA from the University of Chicago. In addition to his commercial
interests, Michael is involved in numerous community and charitable
activities. He is President of the Jewish National Fund of Australia
Inc, a committee member of the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs
Council, a former Chairman of the Melbourne Chapter of the Young
Presidents Organisation and former Deputy President of the Executive
Council of Australian Jewry. Michael is also a member of the Multiple
Sclerosis Society of Victoria Task Group.
